Eversheds wins ‘Law firm of the year’ at the British Private Equity awards

International law firm Eversheds beat off competition from Addleshaw Goddard, Ashurst, Clifford Chance, DLA Piper, Hammonds, SJ Berwin and Travers Smith to be awarded ‘Law Firm of the Year’, in a category based on “consistent excellence throughout the past 12 months”.

The readers of unquote”, which sponsored the awards, were instrumental in deciding the outcome as they refined the shortlist, before a panel of judges chose Eversheds as the winner. The judges looked for “efficiency of execution, sector knowledge, advisory and negotiating skills, value-adding capability, vision and the overall development of the business.”

Mark Spinner, Head of Private Equity, commented:

“This award is testament to the strength of our private equity team, the progress that we have made in recent years and to our wider sector-based approach. Our private equity offering incorporates consistently high-level advisory and negotiating skills and aids the overall development of the business. This was a fantastic award to win since it recognises the contribution made by the whole team”.
